By air
Washington DC is served by three airports.
The closest, Reagan Washington National Airport, is a 10-15 minute Metro ride to Rosslyn Metro, the closest Metro station to Georgetown University. MetroRail’s Blue Line stops adjacent to Terminals B and C at National Airport. Take the Blue Line to Rosslyn (direction: Largo Town Center). From Rosslyn, buses (GUTS (new window) (new window) or MetroBus 38B (new window) (new window)) and taxis will take you to the Georgetown area. Alternatively, you can walk across Key Bridge.

Washington Dulles International Airport is about an hour by taxi or rideshare service to the university. You may also use the Metro Rail’s Silver Line to travel the 30 miles to or from the Washington Dulles International Airport to the Rosslyn Metro Station (Orange, Silver, Blue Lines). If you are traveling Monday to Friday between 5:00 am and midnight, you may use the Georgetown University Transportation Shuttle (GUTS) from 19th and N. Moore Streets to Campus or from Campus to 19th and N. Moore Streets. The Rosslyn Metro Station is 1 block from the bus stop.

Washington Dulles International Airport is connected directly to Metro’s Silver Line. Follow the signs to the underground walkway, which is approximately five minutes from the terminal. - To Washington Dulles International Airport
Use Metro’s Silver Line to take you directly to the Washington Dulles International Airport Metrorail Station. The underground path is approximately five minutes from the station to the terminal, with moving sidewalks and escalators to help you on your way. Baltimore Washington International Airport is a 30 minute train ride to Union Station in Washington DC. (For Amtrak website, click HERE.) From Union Station (which is also a Metro Red Line stop) you can take the Metro to Rosslyn or Dupont Circle.
